Start of Year Tips for Launching a Year in Inquiry

This short clip was recently sent out to my newsletter friends. I have had a few requests to make it public so here it is for you all. If you would like early access to similar videos, resources, and events, please consider signing on for the newsletter here.

“The doors to my school open on September 6. As the day approaches I find myself thinking about my first interactions with students and how, in my initial words, decisions, and lessons I am sending a message to learners about what I value and what our time together could look like.

With this reflection in mind I jumped on my computer and recorded some of my thinking to share with you all. Consider watching it before you prepare your initial days with your learners. If you have already begun your year or you are in the southern hemisphere, please take pause and consider how these ideas have been built upon so far in your time with your students.

I hope you find some of this thinking to be helpful to you and your year in inquiry.”
